ABOUT SARAH

Sarah Limardo grew up in the casket capitol of the world (Batesville, Indiana), which is her go-to fun fact about herself.

Growing up in a small, midwestern town, she spent a lot of her time exploring forests and reading books. She dreamed of leaving for the city one day where she’d thrive among the hustle and bustle and find her calling in some big publishing house and fall in love with some bigwig—or something like that.

(Turns out, Sarah’s not a big fan of cities or bigwigs.)

After graduating high school and taking a gap year to be a server at a local pizza joint, she left Batesville to attend college in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2016, she earned a degree in Creative Writing, and then she decided to check some romance tropes off her list by marrying her roommate’s brother (who she fell hard for after dancing with him at a ball—true story).

Sarah worked in ministry for a time, then got her master’s degree solely because she heard there was hooding ceremony, and she thought that sounded cool. However, she graduated in May 2020, so there was no hood, no cap and gown, and no graduation. But she did get a box of confetti and a keychain from her school, and became insufferable about when I got my degree for strategic communication…

During the pandemic, she and her husband moved to Utah for the mountains and skiing. They love it there.

As for books, Sarah’s been writing for a long time—she was the kid in school pretending to take notes but was really outlining novels (she couldn’t be bothered with things like pre-calculus).

After getting lots of practice novels under her belt, her debut, All She Ever Wanted, released in August 2024. The story had been on her writing bucket list for a decade—she’d always wanted to write a classic, campy pirate romance but held back because she wasn’t sure if there was a place for it in the market. Then she thought, “Screw it. Why shouldn’t I write about sexy pirates and ridiculous noblewomen? I should do what sounds fun." And so she did just that.

Since publishing, All She Ever Wanted has received much praise, hit #1 in all its categories on Amazon, and peaked at #82 in the entire Kindle store.

So now Sarah is a proud author of pirate romances. The Copson Series will be five books in total, and she’s very excited about them.
